methodology
Assessment methodology template
A reusable framework for defining scope, evidence, findings and retesting.
1. Define scope and success conditions
- Record the included websites, pages, documents, technologies and complete tasks.
- Name the target WCAG version and conformance level without promising a legal outcome.
- List excluded areas, test accounts, supported browsers and assistive technologies.
2. Collect reproducible evidence
For each finding, record steps, expected and actual results, affected people, severity, relevant criterion and enough context for another reviewer to reproduce it.
3. Remediate, then retest
Remediation changes the product; it does not erase the original observation. Retesting records a new result against the agreed scope and notes remaining or newly introduced barriers. A partial retest supports only the items retested.
